Hugs Crescent Rolls

Okay, these could be dangerous... I got this recipe from the back of the package of Hershey's Hugs. Basically you take crescent roll dough and wrap each triangle around an unwrapped "hug". Follow the directions for baking and then sprinkle with powder sugar when they are done. These are so decadent and simple. I love them!

Fortune Cookie Necklace

Wear your good fortune everywhere you go! This is a fortune cookie necklace that I designed. The "cookie" is brass that is very carefully shaped into the cookie and the "fortune" is stamped onto nickel silver. Both hang from a rhodium plated chain so the finish is durable, I wear this necklace constantly. I can customize the fortunes luck, love, health, wisdom, peace, etc. These are so fun to make although somewhat laborious. There is a lot of refining and polishing and working the materials to get it to the finished product. They are fun and I think the way things are today everyone could use a little luck. I will be listing one on ebay and possibly in my etsy shop. They are available for custom order so simply send me an email. Heather@rzn8.com

Diaper Cake

This is a diaper cake that I made for my friend Michelle as a baby shower gift. As far as homemade baby shower gifts go this is by far the quickest and most fun gifts I've ever made. I love that it incorporates a number of gifts instead of just the diapers. The structure is supported by baby bottles, 3 in all. I also added teething toys, baby spoons, pacifiers, baby wash and baby lotion. It's easy to be creative and add whatever you want.

Softie cake

I have really been into all the adorable felt foods that I have seen on other blogs and on etsy. Cakes, cookies, candy, cupcakes! So cute I would have done anything to have something like these when I was little. So far I have created a cupcake which I gave as a gift before I had a chance to photograph it and this one which is a small cake. I plan on sending this one off as a gift too but I thought I better photograph it and post it on the blog before I send it on its journey. I would love to do a tutorial but I am still tweaking the process a little.
